Help Me Help You!

Recently, we've had a lot of internal struggles. Its great that you want to keep a project linear and cohesive. It should be. That's what kickoff meetings are for — to get everyone up-to-date and up-to-speed with everything. Its also a chance for teamworking towards common goals. Specific people are hired for specific purposes, and we should utilize their expertise. Just because you think you can do better, it doesn't mean that you should disregard their expertise and step over them. That shows impatience, disrespect, being sneaky, and having a personal ego powertrip. And then there is the issue of deflecting the blame onto others when things don't go the way you want it to. If you take charge, you have to take both the glory and the crap that comes with it. Its not healthy for everyone, and the end result can be ridiculous. Not to mention you risk making enemies within your own company. Burning bridges is not advisable, especially in such a small and tightly-knit community such as ours. You never know when you may need their help. Such an uncomfortable and frustrating journey when it should have been a much smooth one. Seriously, people. Grow up. We're all in the same boat. HELP ME HELP YOU!

Financial Fraud: Take Two.

I moved to Las Vegas last year. Within two months, someone managed to snatch my newly-established card number and stole $1000 from my acct. All in WeHo. We solved it. And now ... its happening again. Same bank, same account.

$800 e-check from Planet Hollywood. $70 from Dillards.com. A $750 paper check to Sears. I can see the gambling needs. I can see buying a new dishwasher. But Dillards?! What?! Hello? Saks Fifth Avenue? Barneys New York? Neiman Marcus? Anyone of the couture boutiques? What's next? Similac and Pampers from Wal-Mart? Wow. I'm dumbfounded. The check had my account and routing number, but the name and address was that of a woman. Probably a fake address and ID.

I have no clue how it happened, but I have an idea. My rent check never made it. Now, as it was a holiday weekend, I dropped it off in the outbox in the mail room of my condo complex. Somehow, I think someone managed to fish it out that outbox. Why? because I almost received a 5-day notice from my rental company (which would have led to an eviction notice). Thankfully, I had my savings account, with no overdraft protection. I had to speed-drop a cashier's check to cover my rent.

Anywho, my week was spent with 4 visits to the closest bank branch. During business hours (yeah, my bosses weren't too thrilled). They had to physically verify who I am, and only they can freeze my account and open a new one. Waiting for affidavits and such was just ... dumb. I got the last one signed on Saturday, and today my account was closed. I received my new card and checks.

Now the case goes into 'Investigation' status. Joy.

Having done online BillPay, I now have to reestablish it all again. But two payments went through ... on my old account. Great. Just what I needed. Bounceback charges from both sides.

This is coupled with my super busy week at work. You can imagine what I was like on Friday evening.

Evil, Catty, Cynical ... LOVE IT!!!

First of all, this is NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

If you haven't been there, check out LuridDigs. Its a site dedicated to some horrendous amateur nude pictures of men. Well, tragic is more likely the appropriate word. You would think they'd talk about the men (and they do...), but their focus on everything else but the guy himself. And believe me, there are some major travesties! But the guys (and girl) that run this site are here to turn it all into good ol' entertainment. Their comments are funny, bitchy, catty and evilly sarcastic. I love it.

Check them out when you're alone and in need of some evil.

Is this supposed to be cute?

Because it's not. It's annoying and lame. People have started sending me these Flash-based smilies. Its animated, and usually has a sound clip (in mandarin usually). A novel idea (if even that), but it gets old real fast. It's no longer cute, nor does it convey that you're cute. What it conveys is that you're an asinine retard that is stuck with gimmicky ideas of cuteness. Sorry chums, that's over. Get back to reality and type like a person that possess some semblance of taste and intelligence.
