Face it. Garfield is why we go crazy over the famous Jim Davis comic strip of the same name. Garfield, Odie, Nermal, Arlene...they make the comics come alive. Well, now there's a twist. GarfieldMinusGarfield removes our furry friends from the comic and just leaves Jon to himself. Brilliant. Not only does it amplify how much of a loser Jon Arbuckle is, but it even succeeds in making the comic strips creepier. Kudos to Jim Davis for allowing this to happen and for publishing it. It isn't often that an author can relax, chill and allow his work to be somewhat bastardized. I might just have to get this book.

...and Jon Arbuckle is still a loser.
